Being a slightly chubby eight-year-old who seemed unable to kick a football straight, it took me a while to know what I really wanted to do until acting came along and I fell in love with it and haven’t stopped since. From this point on, I joined various Youth Theatres up to the age of sixteen. The diversity of all the roles that I had the opportunity to take on during my time in the groups was amazing. I really enjoyed playing the 'Creature' in the immersive play 'Frankenstein’ and playing 'Bugsy' in the musical 'Bugsy Malone'. In 2013, I took part in the professional pantomime at the Princes Hall, Aldershot, playing the part of 'John Darling' in 'Peter Pan'. This was such a brilliant experience: working with some very talented professional actors. This also led on to me recently getting a job as an assistant, teaching 9-11year olds’ Youth Theatre at the Princes Hall.
For the last five years, I have taken part in three 'Shakespeare Schools Festival' performances. I played the part of 'Henry V' at the age of fourteen initially and then went on to play the part of 'Bottom' which I am proud to say received a distinction from Trinity college. I then tackled a role which I personally felt was a real challenge in terms of achieving the emotional depth and the right tone. It was, however, a fantastic performance and I loved every second of it. I play the part ‘Brutus’ in Shakespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar’
About a year ago, I wrote my own independent film and am now, with a group of friends, in the process of shooting it. This is a real passion for all of us and we are looking forward to the release in June. In January this year, I travelled to Hastings to shoot a graduation film for the University of Creative Arts. This was a wonderful experience and I felt so happy to spend a week doing something which I love. I have been in love with acting for many years and I really cannot imagine myself doing anything else. It is something I put my heart and soul in to and one that I cannot wait to learn more about every single day.
