Highlights
-
Shavone Bass is has been in the acting world for 8 years. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and now resides in Rex, GA. She performed a monologue from the play “The Glass Menagerie” for her high school class, and thus her acting career began. Acting seemed so far-fetched for Shavone. She started writing her own monologues and no later than that she was chosen for a supporting role in her first play called “Broken Pieces”.
She has had the pleasure of training under Greg Alan Williams with the Actor’s Breakthrough Film Actors Training Studio. Thom Scott, of The Actor’s Gym is currently coaching Shavone under the Sanford Meisner technique. With five plays under her belt, most being dramatic roles; recently Shavone decided to broaden the roles that she auditions for. She booked a supporting role in “The Lie of You” as Aaliyah. When she isn’t working on her craft, she likes spending time with her 9 year old son. She loves comedy movies; she has strong improvisation skills, she’s actively working on fitness goals, and is also teaching herself how to play the keyboard.
Although the sky is not the limit for her, one of Shavone’ s many goals as an actor was to be a part of at least one production, which she has surpassed. She thanks her mother for being such a strong role model and teaching her the power of prayer. She thanks her father for speaking life over her dreams before he passed away. She also thanks her son for being the vessel that would change her life forever. Shavone is looking forward to one day working in the next big film with Viola Davis.
