About me
I am currently studying A level English, Music, Drama and Dance. I am currently on Grade 6 Piano and Grade 8 Trinity Musical Theatre Singing.Additional skills:
Haydn is currently working on a new musical project written by Chris Burgess and Mark Warman. Get That Beat follows the fortunes of 60's lad 'Mickey' played by Haydn, in his search for love and happiness set against an original new score in 60's Britain.
Haydn appeared as principal alongside Sally Ann Triplett, Amy Pemberton, Anna Francolini, Adam Cooper and Alisdair Harvey and in 2011, collaborating in a workshopped semi-staged reading of the new musical Sunburnt, book, music and lyrics by Chris Burgess produced by Sue Kelvin with musical direction by Tony Award Winner Sarah Travis.
Prior to studying for A-levels, Haydn participated in shows with the amateur dance troupe West End Kids having been offered a Lifetime Scholarship following its online singing competition held in 2010. He went on to perform as a soloist across London venues including West End Live and Olympics One Year To Go opening ceremony.
In 2010 Haydn played the lead role Ren McCormack in Rare's Productions showing of Footloose at the Towngate, Basildon.
Earlier in 2010 Haydn appeared in his PA school production of West Side Story, where he was thrilled to play the lead role of Tony.
In 2010 Haydn completed a music video for the artist Hamel, promoting the new single and album release for Universal Decca Records. The video was directed by award winning team Philip Clyde-Smith and Andy Hui,
At the beginning of 2010 toured New York, to promote the release of his featured soloist CD album 'Be Still' by Spirit now available on Amazon. He is currently preparing a recording and video project as principal solo artist for 2010.
In 2009 Haydn played the lead of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables within the Performing Arts faculty for his BTEC in Singing Dance and Drama.
He has completed shooting a Will Dorrien-Smith film as John (lead) An Original Idea.
Haydn's other film projects have included a cameo in a short film by director Steven Forrester playing 'Matthew' in the studios production of Toby's Odyssey, which is currently being screened on the international festival film circuit in Los Angeles.
In this same year Haydn filmed a principal role for a short film called 'Barry' (see test) by Zachary Decent.
Other film projects include a short film by Leanna Bond entitled 'Mistaken Identity' playing the lead 'runaway' Jack.
In March 2009 he appeared in Carmen at the Royal Albert Hall in his second production for Raymond Gubbay Productions. This saw the release of a CD for 'Spirit' as the principal soloist.
Other theatre credits include Amiens in 'As You Like It' (tour), Puck in 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' and Filch in 'Beggars Opera'. In 2008 Haydn was soloist in a 10 day New York Recital Tour, for Kathleen Shanks, Musical Director for Spirit.
Also that year he performed in Tosca at the Royal Albert Hall in the role of Shepherd Boy, singing to audiences of over 5,000 per performance.
Haydn first began acting, singing and dancing, when in 2003, he won the Southend Echo Newspaper 'Star' competition held throughout Essex.
On winning he played in three professional roles, two Shakespearian and as the bully in an Essex Police anti-bullying training video filmed in front of a live audience.
As well as classical he has recorded a pop CD and another featuring show songs. Haydn is currently working on a set of classical duets and composing for his own musical project entitled 'Bling King'.
