About me
I am definitely unique. I am so mixed, I'm like the "Heinz 57". I'm mixed with African, Chinese, Portuguese, Irish, Indian, Iranian (Persian), Spanish, and South American Aboriginal. My parents are from Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean, but I was born in Montreal, Canada and then I grew up in a gated American Town in the middle of Saudi Arabia. I'm feminine but also a bit of a Tom boy as my older brother was a big influence. I'm Catholic Christian, but more-so spiritual than religious. I am a die-hard romantic, eternal optimist, environmental activist, and a humanitarian fighting against social injustice. I am soft and sensitive, but I'm also outgoing and opinionated. I don't like hurting peoples' feelings, but I will stand up for what I believe and for other people who are being treated unfairly. I have a good work ethic. I am not afraid to work hard. I love with 100% of my being and my motto is "to spread the love" to others. I adore smiling, laughing and I'm almost always, bubbly and happy. But, I do have a serious side and I get depressed too occasionally. I'm a walking contradiction, for example a liberal, free-spirited person who is also a little bit conservative and traditional. I'm impulsive and spontaneous and I love talking to strangers. I really like hugging. I like tackling social injustice in my personal works to evoke deep thought and spark discussions in the hope that we will address controversial social issues by verbalizing our feelings in an effort to find a solution together. I believe that my purpose in life is to reconnect human beings with each other through whatever art I do or make in peace, compassion, caring, and love.Additional skills:
I can do cartwheels, handstands, splits, and round-offs, because I was in gymnastics for a while. I also play soccer, volleyball, tennis, and swim regularly. I can also scuba dive. I love heights, so I am fine with roller-coasters, bungee jumps, or sky diving. I also like to coordinate fashion. I have costumes and clothing from almost every period with almost every look, including renaissance to punk. I have also been in many choirs from classical ones, to Christian ones, to Jazz A Capella ones. I was in a dance company for a while that did jazz, tap, ballet, salsa, samba, and hip-hop routines. I have directed two plays.
Additional information:
I am currently making my first film which is a docu-fiction, meaning it is real stories, and opinions that have been shaped into a fictional story. In addition to being trained in Musical Theatre and Film from the Conservatory program I graduated from at Randolph College for the Performing Arts, I have taken many on camera workshops for film work. I have taken master classes for Musical Theatre Performance (singing). I've done Second City Improv / Comedy workshops. I've done stage combat classes. I've done Shakespeare workshops. I have been a music producer on an artists CD in the recording studio providing the back up vocals, the harmony lines, coaching the singer vocally, and listening to the recording to hear any imperfections that I have to edit out. I also sing in Jazz lounges and cabarets. I'm a singer / songwriter and I compose my own music as well, and perform them at open mic nights and I sing at jam nights. I wrote, directed, staged and choreographed two performance art pieces. I'm currently writing a musical, a one-act play, and a screenplay for a short film. I'm Canadian, but I moved to London, England for a Year to work in the Arts.
Singer:
I am a singer, actor, dancer for musical theatre, theatre, film, television and any other types of performing arts. I also sing with bands as the lead singer, back-up singer, harmony back-up vocalist. I sing Jazz and ballads in bars, lounges, cabarets, and restaurants. I am a singer / songwriter with over 200 of my own songs written. I am also a studio / session singer. I love traveling, so going on tour would not be a problem.
Additional skills:
Dancing, Acting, Composing, Writing, Directing, Voice Over, Producing, Teaching
Additional information:
I have lived in Paris, France and London, England
