Reviews
Lady Teazle in Turn of the Wheel Theatre Company's production of 'The School for Scandal':
"Playing Lady Teazle, Tabitha Becker-Kahn is the evening’s biggest comic delight, excelling as a country girl who has married a much older man and becomes intent on social climbing, only to face rejection by the elite gossiping circle."
Stephen Bates, The Public Reviews (http://www.thepublicreviews.com/the-school-for-scandal-waterloo-east-theatre-london/)
"The spotlight was truly stolen by Tabitha Becker-Kahn as Lady Teazle — the country girl marrying up. She displayed great comic ability, flawlessly wearing every emotion on her face whilst giving a deeply funny performance."
Mims Reilly, One Stop Arts (http://onestoparts.com/review-school-for-scandal-waterloo-east-theatre)
"Tabitha Becker-Kahn steals scenes with her portrayal of country bumpkin Lady Teazle, who has found herself in high society without the necessary airs and graces. Wide-eyed and loose-lipped, Becker-Kahn has a ball with the character and... she was eminently watchable throughout."
Lee Gunther, Entertainment Focus (http://www.entertainment-focus.com/theatre-review/the-school-for-scandal-review/)
"Tabitha Becker-Kahn was a delight of petulance as his country bumpkin wife, wearing every naïve thought on her face."
Eleanor MacFarlane, The Upcoming (http://www.theupcoming.co.uk/2013/05/09/the-school-for-scandal-at-waterloo-east-theatre-review/)
Beatrice in Shooting Stars Theatre Company's tour of 'Much Ado About Nothing:
"For 'Much Ado...' particular weight is placed on the comedic power couple Beatrice and Benedick so it's lucky that Shooting Star have two such fine talents as Tabitha Becker-Kahn and Michael Totton. Becker-Kahn plows a perfect furrow as Beatrice, equal parts biting wit and touching vulnerability. The interplay between the two is superb and gives the play its heart."
Tom King, Broadway Baby http://www.broadwaybaby.com/listing.php?id=17199
"Much Ado features a sprightly and hugely energetic cast of twelve who inject passion and zest into the work... Tabitha Becker-Kahn sets the standard as Beatrice and is great value, never flagging for a single moment. Beatrice is always a great role to play and here, Crosse has allowed Becker-Kahn the freedom to make the part her own, injecting a degree of enthusiasm that lifts the entire production. Her on-off partner, Michael Totton as the testosterone-laden, lifelong bachelor Benedick is a good match, their respective eavesdropping scenes being a highlight; the agile Totton uses the audience as good cover in an amusingly camp display and seems to be everywhere at once, while Becker-Kahn delights by borrowing hats and scarves to gain disguise."
Gareth Richardson, Bargain Theatre (http://bargaintheatre.tumblr.com/)
"A rather impressive modern outdoor production... with a superbly talented cast... Michael Totton and Tabitha Becker-Kahn spark pleasantly as Benedick and Beatrice, using audience interaction effectively to explain their character arcs. Their interchanges are quick and biting and their monologues are fun - it's impressive work."
Chris Hislop, One Stop Arts (http://onestoparts.com/review-much-ado-about-nothing-lauderdale-house)
"The gentle jester-like Benedick (Michael Totton), and the witty and
pugnacious Beatrice (Tabitha Becker-Kahn) imbue the play with strong leads, and uproarious laughter ensues when they are both tricked into believing each other's genuine affection for one another."
Johnathan Brunton - The Upcoming (http://www.theupcoming.co.uk/2012/08/25/theatre-review-much-ado-about-nothing-at-the-lauderdale-house-tea-lawn/)
"Shooting Stars' production of Much Ado About Nothing is the best outdoor production I have seen in years... The standout performances were certainly those of Michael Totton (Benedick) and Tabitha Becker-Kahn (Beatrice), who battled like the best of couples."
Fiona Drury, The Islington Gazette (http://www.islingtongazette.co.uk/what-s-on/theatre/theatre_review_much_ado_about_nothing_at_lauderdale_house_1_1498138)
"Becker-Kahn was a sparky Beatrice, full of mischief in the early scenes and later demonstrating an impressive depth and range in her very real and genuinely moving depiction of grief at the slander, and heartbreak, of Hero. "
Peter Coe, The Henley Standard
(http://www.henleystandard.co.uk/entertainment/ent.php?id=1143806)
"A few months ago I saw a production with a fabulous performance from an actress that I immediately thought 'if I was to do Much Ado she would be my Beatrice'. Shooting Stars Theatre Company got there first and Tabitha Becker Kahn will no doubt give one of the performances of the festival as Beatrice."
Kris Hallett, Fire Under the Horizon
(http://www.fireunderthehorizon.co.uk/blog/3/72/Camden-Fringe-Our-Recommendations/)
Kate Nickleby in Space Production's 'The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby':
"Leads Tabitha Becker-Kahn and Kiel O'Shea inhabit the roles of Nicholas and Kate, showing an impressive depth of emotion during Smike's final scene."
Broadway Baby
Hermione in Titian Rep's production of 'The Winter's Tale':
"'This strong cast includes Tabitha Becker-Kahn, who is mesmerising as Hermione, equally so as the hysterical dim-witted servant in the second act."
Steven Shawcroft, SpaceWorks Blog
(http://spaceworks.tumblr.com/post/14172793511/the-big-review-a-winters-tale)
Desdemona in Veni Vidi Theatre Company's production of 'Othello':
"Becker-Kahn plays the devoted wife with flirtatious innocence, her husky voice teasing Othello amorously. This coquettish quality Becker-Kahn portrays initially attracts him, but finally it becomes the source of her undoing, for it allows doubt to enter his mind and jealousy to corrupt him."
Extra! Extra! (www.extraextra.org/Review_Othello_2010.html)
"Tabitha Becker-Kahn is a convincing Desdemona and sings 'Willow' exquisitely."
The British Theatre Guide
(www.britishtheatreguide.info/reviews/othelloveni-rev.htm)
"Tabitha Becker-Kahn's portrayal of Desdemona sees her both flirtatious and loyal"
Emma Youle, Hornsey, Crouch End & Muswell Hill Journal
