Hobbies and interests:
Particular interest in musical theatre, jazz, blues, gospel and soul with experience singing some opera (arias) and choral music.
I take singing lessons with a retired Royal Opera house singer

I love watching movies, going to the cinema and visiting the theatre (including Opera, Musicals and Plays). Genres I like to go and see include, Drama, Thrillers, Comedies, Action, Autobiographical, Fantasy and Historical (fact and fiction in equal measure…!)
I love many genres of music including; Rock, Latin, Jazz and Blues, Country and Folk, Progressive house and Dance music, Big band swing and almost any form of modern commercial music.
I enjoy walking with my dogs in local areas of natural beauty/woodland

I have been a member of Walton and Weybridge Amateur Operatics society for 20 years but I have also been a member of both Elmbridge Youth Theatre and Woking Youth Theatre. I love performing but also assisting with various FOH duties including serving in the bar and selling programmes and confectionary.
I worked for The disabled riding association for 4 years assisting in the teaching of horse riding for people of all ages and disabilities. I am now a volunteer with ‘The Pets as Therapy Association’ (a national charity where owners take their cats and dogs into various places for therapeutic purposes, such as special needs schools, care home mental health units and drop in centres etc.). I go into care homes for the elderly (dementia care) and public events with my registered dog Bonnie.
For the past 2 years, to socialise my dog and to stimulate her intelligent nature, I have been doing Agility classes. My Dog Bonnie and I have increased the strength of our bond and her obedience has improved. She obviously really enjoys the challenge and gets very excited during training sessions.
I do Zumba fitness and Fit Steps Dance programme. These are both exercise regimes which are based on Latin and Ballroom dance. I am able to combine sport and pleasure and I think this is the key to sustaining an active healthy life.
Pilates:
I do this is to help balance body and mind, and I use the class time to focus on making sure I am aware of how to use my body correctly in everyday tasks, therefore maintaining the health of the muscular and skeletal systems.
My partner and I have recently started learning this dance style which is a combination of Salsa and Jive. It’s a great to learn new skills and meet new people.
