About me
I am 26 years old and graduated from the University of Huddersfield, completing the BA degree in Historical Costume and Textile design in July 2015. The Course included design, illustration, contextualisation and construction of theatre costume as well as textiles.I am currently working as a costume assistant behind the scenes at Alton Towers Merlin Entertainments and have previously worked on,
• Costume trainee on Fernden Santa Films Ltd production of Get Santa working for costume designer Steven Noble
• Costume daily working with ITV Jambusters Limited, on Home Fires, working with designer Lucinda Wright.
• Costume daily working on Dark Angel Production, on Dark Angel, working with designer Caroline McCall
• Costume assistant on a short film, called ‘Just Charlie’, with costume designer Robyn Morell.
• Costume daily on T.V drama, ‘National Treasure’, with costume designer Sarah Blenkinsop

I am a hard worker in all aspects, and work well both within a team and on my own. I am used to working with large productions often working with over 100 background artists in T.V and Film dramas, with experience in quick changes and the need to perform fast alterations for performances, and constant costume maintenance throughout. I am used to working with specific deadlines and tight schedules.
I have fully enjoyed my time in the industry so far and look forward to continue to learn and work in this industry in the future!

Costume and Theatre Experience
• Work experience with Kindle Productions filming Hank Zipzer drama series for CBBC and Nickelodeon
• Work Experience at Birmingham Costume Hire, helping pull out and produce a number of costumes for a wide range of performances
• Work Experience with the designer, John Brooking, based in Cheadle, Staffordshire, working on a number of productions, for, the Queen Victoria Cunard Cruise ships, with Belinda King Creative Productions, and the recent touring of the New Production of Puss in Boots which started off at the Litchfield Garrick Theatre.
• Work experience with the Gatehouse Theatre, Stafford, during December and January on their Pantomime Rock and Roll Sleeping Beauty
• Work experience for the costume designer, James Maciver, based in Milton Keynes, working on costumes for a large number of pantomimes during November and December
• Costume designs, construction and wardrobe for Theatre Ingestre’s summer 2013 production of Camelot and the Ingestre Hall festival production of the opera Dido and Aeneas
• I produced printed textiles for a feature film based on the computer game Second Life
• I worked on a project where I designed, printed and constructed costume sculpture pieces displayed at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in July 2013.

I have recently graduated from the University of Huddersfield, having completed the Historical Costume with textiles BA course, majoring in Print design as my specialized textiles. Within that I completed a years work experience as part of my sandwich course, gaining experience within the theater and film Industry, as well as costume construction. I have experience in working with a team and individually, and I am good at keeping within timed deadlines. I have experience in construction, (especially within the musicals and panto areas) as a dresser, and as a costume trainee/daily within the film industry. I am hardworking, and always eager to face a new challenge.
