My first experience was during Filmmaking Summer School. It was a great experience as it taught me some things about being on a film set - basic filmmaking 101 strategies, such as how to collaborate effectively together as a crew, how to be open-minded and how to work in a fast-paced environment.
During Holmesglen TAFE, it was probably better, as I was working with more determined, talented and hardworking people than at summer school. We were able to give each other feedback about certain stuff (like our scripts and even during the shoot too, depending on our roles, in order to make our film better).
The atmosphere on Channel 31 was more professional and required us to be more hardworking and on our toes a lot. Even though it was a small crew, we still had a few members from an independent production company helping us out to reach our deadlines. It was a very rewarding experience being on a set like this, compared to TAFE, where we had more time to shoot a film.
With several years experience, I have filmed various types of projects - short films, music videos, photo shoots and weddings.
