Revolver Entertainment is one of the UK & Eire’s leading ‘All Rights’ distribution companies, shaking up the industry with a unique approach to managing its enviable and edgy slate of Film and DVD releases.

Specialists in delivering maximum media coverage and awareness via multi-platforms, with Revolver Books and 357 Records also operating under the Revolver umbrella, we are an aggressive all rights brand marketing entity, with in-house Theatrical, Home Entertainment and Digital Sales, and a large marketing and publicity team handling all our titles.

Past releases have seen us work with several groundbreaking directors such as Werner Herzog (Encounters At The End Of The World), Charlie Kaufman (Synecdoche, New York), Steven Soderbergh (The Girlfriend Experience), Jim Jarmusch (The Limits of Control) and Banksy (Exit Through the Gift Shop) whilst our charity war compilation release, Heroes: The Greatest War Movies Ever! garnered us support from renowned filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg on behalf of the charity Help For Heroes.

2010 saw the phenomenal success of Shank, Revolver’s first Gunslinger Production, from our standalone production arm, designed to develop, finance and produce feature films. The action thriller was a theatrical success in the UK with a box office figure in excess of $850,000 when it was released in March 2010. The film was released on DVD and Blu-ray later in the year, going straight in at number 4 in the new release chart.

It was also a record-breaking year for Revolver in terms of DVD and Blu-ray sales, with Dead Man Running (featuring Danny Dyer and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson) seeing our highest ever Week 1 sales, smashing into the new release chart at number 2 and an overall chart position of number 5.

We have had huge successes over the last year with the releases of The Infidel, Exit Through the Gift Shop and Heartbreaker. The Infidel (Written by David Baddiel and featuring Omid Djalili, Miranda Hart and Matt Lucas) was given a huge World Premiere at the Hammersmith Apollo featuring live stand-up comedy prior to the screening and won Best Premiere at the 2010 Screen Marketing Awards. The film surpassed expectation at the box office and went on to be a really strong performer on DVD and Blu-ray.

Exit Through the Gift Shop was a groundbreaking release for Revolver, as it was infamous street-artist Banksy’s directorial debut. The documentary was given an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary this year and helped maintain its strong DVD and Blu-ray sales through this year.

Heartbreaker (starring Romain Duris and Vanessa Paradis) was another triumph for Revolver, with a fantastic award winning marketing campaign that saw the film exceed all expectations at the box office and then again on DVD and Blu-ray.

The Multi-Platform release that Revolver introduced to the industry back in 2008 has become an important part of our distribution and the incredible results we saw with Bonded By Blood recently are a great example of this. The sales figures have been nothing short of remarkable and continue to sell throughout 2011. Our catalogue titles also continue to sell-through in 2010 in large volumes, with such titles as City Rats, Tyson, Borstal Boy and Kidulthood regularly holding high positions in the top 200 charts week after week.

The big success story of 2011 so far has been the theatrical release of Anuvahood. Gunslinger’s second production saw us team up with Adam Deacon, star of cult hit Kidulthood. His directorial debut Anuvahood is the UK’s first ever urban comedy. The groundbreaking film smashed box office records for the company and looks set to make a big splash on DVD and Blu-ray later this year.

Looking forward, the releases of Upside Down: The Story of Creation Records and Fire in Babylon all have great promise for theatrical success and their home entertainment releases later in the year.

Revolver USA also continues to go from strength to strength as a distributor with an ever-increasing release schedule and deals in place with Apple’s iTunes, X-Box, Netflix and Amazon, amongst others, for upcoming titles such as football documentary One Night in Turin and the Royal Wedding documentary, Prince William and Kate – The Royal Romance.

With the biggest ever box office in the company’s history and such an incredible start to the year, there can be little doubt that 2011 looks set to be Revolver’s most successful year to date.
