About me
I am a national award-winning filmmaker and journalist based in New York City. I specialize in stories grounded in science, nature, and social issues. I bring a keen storyteller's eye, an obsessive attention to detail, and a tireless Midwestern work ethic to every project. I am the recipient of a National Edward R. Murrow Award and winner of a National American Association for the Advancement of Science Kavli Science Journalism Award for my films on science and conservation. I have also won Emmy Awards for my producing, cinematography, and editing.My work has been featured nationally and internationally through Showtime, HBO Films, PBS, Nat Geo Wild, MSNBC, CBS This Morning, The PBS NewsHour, Vox, PBS QUEST, ProPublica, The World Channel, Voice of America TV, Gawker Media, The U.S. Olympic Committee, The Associated Press, Yale University Press, and the Cannes International Film Festival.
