About me
The Job Description above does not do a good job at describing what I do or my experience. In particular my role has seen me more involved in optimising and managing multiple technologies both emerging and established to achieve artistic outcomes.I am a seasoned Senior Technician in the Theatre and Live Event Industry coming from a background in Video Post Production, TV and Film.
Technology, its limits and its applications in performance based environments is a strong interest, as is broadcast technologies and applications. My experience is enhanced by my varied background which allows me to provide excellent advice and operational skills. I follow technology used in production for live performance. film and television.
In the past I have worked as a technician and a performer, this allows me to have a large picture ability which can be important when achieving visions with technology.
My background and experience allow me to provide mature real time decision making that is based on wide industry knowledge. These skills allow me to pull projects together from a technical side with an artistic sensitivity.
Todays demandingly complicated shows and events require experienced people who can see many angles and are skilled at working through issues to achieve results.
I feel confident my easy going, but exacting attitude can be of benefit to any production. My experience lends it self to supervision in the role of Line Producer and Technical Coordination.
I work best while overseeing the technical aspects of a show or project and excel at blending technology with artistic visions managing teams to achieve results.
Additional information:
In the background I have been training in Producing, Project Management and IT technology.
As shows become more about integrating performance and technology, at every level I feel there is a strong need for people who have experience in both Technical and Creative sides of the industry.
Please Consider the importance of integrating the diverse elements of modern shows and the importance of people who are skilled and experienced in that integration.
