After a home fire a family takes refuge in a respite home that bans live flames. But on a stormy night they discover the hard way why no flames are allowed.

After surviving a devastating home fire, Lynn, Aidan, and their daughter Sara move into a recovery house. They chose the house specifically because live flames are banned inside, and it helps them feel safe. Aidan smokes outside, until one cold and windy night. His decision to come inside with a burning cigarette will plunge the house into darkness and the family will learn the hard way why no flames are allowed.
