A bleak and twisted love story, one removed.
Set in a bleak and mythical, unknown landscape, the use of illegal time booths is getting out of control. Increasing incidents of disturbed behavior and revenge attacks appear on the news due to what people have foreseen of their future. Steven, a down and out fish-gutter, goes to the docks every day looking for casual work. With the money he earns he visits the time booth to see his future. For him the future holds love in the form of Bryony Lafferty, a psychiatric nurse, but for now she is only a child. Steven watches her, but how long can he wait? In pursuit of her love, Steven embarks on a course of action with dramatic consequences.
