Bloody Flaming Flipping Grrrr - Metro Ad

Hope some of you have spotted this and are as &^%#ed off as I am.

'Star in a TV Ad'

We are looking for women aged 20-30, with great hair past the shoulders and preferably brunette in colour.

Cattle call audition in London today.

Right. Obviously the producers of whatever ad it is felt they couldn't find a professionally trained 20-30 year old female actor in London. Rare as hens teeth they are. Yup, I know no one matching that description. Thank goodness they can rely on the general public to service their needs.

And they'll probably pay them a pittance too.

You think they'll pay them?

Lol - these things are nothing more than a publicity stunt. They're hoping to have wannabe's queueing round the block so that London tonight comes and films them to generate a higher profile for when their actual ad campaign launches!

I wouldn't be surprised if they've already cast it...

xx

Can you send a copy of the ad to Tim Gale at Equity please?
All adds weight to the folder he's going to be handing over to the Culture/Arts Minister/s in due course to lobby for legal legislation for the actor's minimum wage, although sounds like this mob are out for a quick buck
& won't be around long enough to issue the writ to!.

I'm pretty sure Dove didn't pay those 'ordinary' women to advertise their body lotions. And Sheila's Wheels were holding a competition for a woman to 'star' alongside the other women in an ad - the prize was to appear in the ad!

Your right about DOVE, I got spotted by their scouts in Liverpool street and they went on to give me a flattering speach about how great my skin was (i was running for a train at the time with my dog so was covered in dog hairs (not on my face though) when I told them I was an actres hoping they would reel of my pay and shoot times etc they were mortified and said they would keep me on file and hurried on their way... It was an unpaid campaign.. ALAS

I also got scouted by Dove in Bristol and I had just come out of the gym looking bright red and sweaty! They said that was fine as they were looking for 'natural beauty' and wanted to take my photo but I was like... no thanks I just want a shower.
