  • Project Details
WILD ONES will take the format of a multi-scene 360-video artwork and theatrical piece, which explores multiple characters - each from a different minority culture - co-existing in spiritual freedom as enlightened ghosts, within past-life scenes, in which they were subjugated or acted against the freedom of others.

Since human culture began, very small groups of humans have made decisions which affect the entire future, economy, art, and laws of billions of people. What happens to those that they discriminate against, due to their personal and political agendas?

Through the magic of VR, minorities who have been subjugated or ignored take the form of enlightened beings (WILD ONES) co-existing in total freedom within a parallel reality from the future; with the ability to visit power players during their most heinous acts of power and self-interest, offering compassion and acceptance, while making mischief and disturbing their machinations, unseen, unheard, but felt—changing the course of history and time.

WILD ONES explores the end of power. What if one could transcend science, law, matter and hierarchy, to exist beyond the limitations of social rank, and human biases such as racism and sexism by transcending time?

The vision for WILD ONES is to empower ‘minorities’ by creating a universe in which they are free from subjugation - contributing to the current conversation about equality, to be made available to a world-wide audience in galleries, online and in theatrical venues.

Over 6 months of collaborating with CaLD and gender-diverse artists to develop the scripts and choreography for this work, which addresses the abuse of power through a perspective of compassion, the casting and employment of diverse NSW artists will provide a platform to explore in-depth conversations about equality; inviting our most enlightened selves to assist us to see who we can be beyond centuries of Western-colonial programming.
