In charge of maintaining, troubleshooting and operating automated equipment from the top 4 worldwide companies in theater technologies: SKS Mechatronics, TAIT Towers, ABB Robotics and Waagner Biro.
I am a confident individual with strong team leadership and troubleshooting skills, a mind set for problem solving that adapts fast to any situation. I communicate efficiently, I delegate and help complete tasks by understanding both the managing side of the job as well as the technology of the work environment that helps build and deliver the final standing ovation.
I started my career as an Automation Engineer designing ACAD electrical installations, building and installing different automated assemblies (automated folding doors, plc programming for automated car wash), support electrical install teams on various work sites across Romania with install voltage ranging from 110 to 480V.
During my career, I’ve found the entertainment use of technology a world of never ending possibilities.
Along the years, I have been changing different positions in the entertainment business starting as an Entertainment Automation Engineer for Carnival in the cruise line industry, calling shows, managing a 10-people technical crew, venue budgeting, troubleshooting and inventory of equipment. During my contracts, I have worked with SKS Mechatronics Systems, Arlacon Console, HOT panels, TAIT towers (control of 6 LED automated walls), calling shows and pyrotechnic cues, maintaining and troubleshooting the rig and the automated equipment such as stage lifts (scissor and serapid), pit lifts (spiral and serapid), and handling pyrotechnic materials. Continuing as a Rigging Specialist (harness performer flying, no "safety net" acts or free flying, in charge of rigging and operating the console for performer flying acts) with Royal Caribbean, being trained by Flying by FOY in Las Vegas working with Pegasus consoles and automated winches of different power from 3 to 35 bhp as well as all the other stage equipment (underwater hydraulic lifts, revolves, flying rig&equipment), my responsibilities were to manage, supervise, teach and guide a 3-people crew of Rigging Assist to complete the work orders of our automated equipment and in-show tasks such as load ins and load outs. Early 2016 I was promoted as the Stage and Production Manager of TWO70 (the most technologically advanced entertainment venue in the cruising industry, with fast and challenging performances integrating ABB robotics and a 270* angle Vistarama projection).
Understanding Two70 Venue

My role was to handle and issue monthly venue budgets, estimate yearly venue budgets, issue work schedules for the venue and project work schedules for the crew, issue purchase orders and work permits (work in confined spaces, hot work permit such as welding, lockout tagout work on 440V lines and in technical spaces). Making sure that equipment maintenance is done accordingly and before the deadlines applied. Troubleshoot and operate state of the art equipment such as 6 ABB IRC5 assembly line robots, 18 Vistarama projectors, 18 Vistarama automated curtains, 3 Barco hydraulic projectors, stage lifts, actor lifts, revolves and flying performer entrance hatches. As well as managing a team of 30 people: 16 performers (dancers, aerialists, acrobats) and 14 technical crew (sound, light, riggers, technical stage staff and stage hands). I was training the crew in regards to maintaining a high standard of Work Place Safety, emphasizing on PPE (personal protective equipment), safety equipment available in the venue (light barriers, safe edges, pressure sensor mats and E-stops) the use of the safety equipment in case of emergency, signs and signals to be use by performers during shows for various situations (no fly or show stop).
I strongly believe that my set of skills accumulated in the entertainment industry would be an asset for your business, if you see this as a benefit to your operation, please do not hesitate to contact me.
