About me
My name is Alli Morgan, and I am currently working out of the industry as a motorhome and caravan service technician. I am moving to Essex and am looking to get work back in the entertainment/event industry. I was previously working as Technical Manager at Exmouth Pavilion. And before that I was working in London as a Chief Electrician in a West End Theatre. As Technical Manager I was responsible for the maintenance of all the technical equipment, technical Risk Assessments, PAT Testing, and making sure everyone adheres to Health and Safety regulations. I was solely responsible for the in house Sound and Lighting equipment and am competent at operating an Avolite Pearl desk, and a Yamaha LS9 desk. I am more of a lighting person and regularly design local productions. My main job was also ensuring visiting companies have a smooth and safe show and look forward to coming back!
I also work freelance installing generators and power distribution on several local festivals, and work as a Technician for SLX in Exeter.
My main duties in the West End were to manage a department of 3-6 staff. Maintain, fault find, test, and fix (where possible) all electrical, technical and plant equipment in the theatre. Supervise and staff incoming productions, maintain and fix production related lighting, set, sound, video, special effects, and props. Programme lighting consoles and moving lights. Update Risk Assessments and Health and Safety documents, Liaise and work with contractors, incoming production staff, actors, and senior management.
I am a very confident and hard working person, and I feel that I have a lot of useful skills and knowledge that would be beneficial to you. I work very well on my own, but also as part of a team. I am very reliable, and remain professional at all times. I have a great sense of humour and am easy to get on with.
