About me
Having started out by directing pieces at City Lit in an educational environment, I have since worked on many fringe pieces, notably for the theatre company I set up (Frank Theatre) directing 'Hamlet' and 'The Seagull'. I am particularly interested in the Classics and ways that they can be revived and presented vividly to a modern audience. I am also very fond of exciting, important new writing, along with physical theatre. I have a passion for innovative, passionate theatre that really connects with the audience in an emotional way. I am also very interested in the technical side, and the ways that that lighting, music and set design can create an atmosphere. Furthermore, I really enjoy the challenge of working in many weird and wonderful spaces, and investigating how far you can push the boundaries, both logistically and metaphorically.Additional skills:
I have led Shakespeare workshops for schoolchildren and general acting workshops for a homeless and mental health charity.
