Frances is a star accountant with a great life and great boyfriend, Lucas. When Lucas turns out to be not as great as she thought, Frances's evidence helps to put him behind bars. Fearing for her life, the police stage Frances' death and with a new identity she seeks out a new life. However, her daughter is still in her old life and Frances must risk a newly-released Lucas to gain back the life she wanted.
