The Strypes

The Strypes are 4-piece rhythm and blues band hailing from Cavan, Ireland, formed in 2011 by Ross Farrelly (lead vocals/harmonica), Josh McClorey (lead guitar/vocals), Pete O’Hanlon (bass guitar/harmonica) and Evan Walsh (drums).

After 18 months spent relentlessly touring the clubs, pubs and festivals of Ireland viciously hammering out a no-nonsense blues repertoire with the passion and venom of British blues groups such as Dr. Feelgood, The Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones, 2013 saw The Strypes released their highly anticipated debut album ‘Snapshot’ which entered the UK charts at #4. The singles included ‘What A Shame’, ‘Blue Collar Jane’ and ‘You Can’t Judge A Book By Looking At The Cover’.

Since then The Strypes have toured even further afield taking their hugely esteemed live show around Europe, Japan and the US. This year will see them release their sophomore record, having recently announced a brand new EP to accompany a UK tour, which is currently underway.
