About me
Graduated in "Cinema and Audiovisual Media" with five years of experience across short films, feature films, documentaries, web series, commercials, social media, and all sorts of different video formats. You can find all of them on my website, larasampaio.com.Right now I am changing my professional field to Musical Theatre. For the past year, I have worked in "A Very Potter Musical" Brazilian version which I proudly played Lord Voldemort.
Plus, I released my first book, "Eu Poemo" which is a poetry and visual book that goes across an intern journey.
Besides that, me and my husband created a film festival during quarantine pandemic to stimulate fillm production, cocreation, and connection between artists. It is called "Quarentena Online Film Festival" and became international in 2 days, having people from 8 different countries and representing 50% of Brazil, our homeland. We collected a bunch of marvelous stories and experiences. It became so popular that we had one more edition in 2021, in which we additionally created an audiovisual conference with the highest names in Brazil's film industry.
About my accomplishments extras, I have more than 10 indications in film festivals with my short films, being "Best Screenwriting" one of them. In addition, I am a winner of "Honour Mention" in "Best Directing" for my web series "AfterChef" of the Cawcine 2021 Festival.
As my preferred fields, writing and producing for theatre. However, I have experience with Communication in general, Marketing, and Design. I am willing to work with all the previously described fields to gather knowledge and follow my projects in the future.
