About me
In 2008, I saw The Dark Knight and Heath Ledger's take on the Joker took my breath away, especially as I was one of his many naysayers when he was cast. As a result, I decided to dress up as his Joker for Halloween that year. In a nice bit of synchronicity, my course union at Ryerson wanted to put on a haunted house show for the students and faculty and I involved myself. I was to act the part of a crazy clown who attacks his nurse inside of a mental hospital. I quickly engaged in (what I didn't yet know was) a character study which involved reading old Batman comic books, looking into Ledger's specific methods for preparing for the part, and in particular, spending my nights in front of a mirror working on my speech, mannerisms, and of course my laugh. It was stressful but worth it in the end. The day of the event, I had my makeup done by a professional and that night, I brought the house down, to be blunt about it. I had all the fun in the world! The following week, some friends suggested I give acting a go based on what they had experienced. I was 22 so I figured, why not? I contacted an old co-worker and she referred me to Mandy. I threw up an extremely crude headshot along with my regular work resume. In May of 2009, I received a call from a gentleman who was casting for a music video. He thought my degree in criminal justice would make me a great S.W.A.T. officer. I agreed, and at the end of the shoot, I was experiencing the highest high. I thought to myself, "People are paid to do this!?" That was when I decided I wanted to be an actor. I've been doing it semi-professionally since 2014, as prior to that I was finishing my undergrad and went back to school for a year from 2011 to 2012. I haven't looked back and want to share my passion and talent with the world!Acting experience:
I have done film, TV, theatre, and voice work. I am always training and improving myself as an actor and as a person.
