I'm a creative, yet business-oriented producer / production manager with passion on a mission to capture hearts, transform minds and change the world around me – one story at a time. Jessica is the President and Creative Producer at her own company Momentum Media that aims to create commercially-viable, yet smart and moving television, film, and digital media projects inspired by global issues that matter.
Freelances as a TV/Film Production Manager.
Most recently, Jessica was the Production Manager on a live action kids TV Series for TVO/PBS called "Odd Squad" which has won multiple Emmy awards. Now she is the Production Manager on the Amazon/CBC series "Bookaboo".
Previously, she was the Programming Manager for the inaugural Niagara Integrated Film Festival (NIFF), founded by TIFF founder Bill Marshall where she was responsible for programming and presenting films while overseeing the World’s Smallest Film Festival mobile short film competition. Jessica also has a TV series in advanced development at White Pine Pictures. She completed the Independent Television Producer entrepreneur program through Centennial College and a Media Leadership program at Schulich School of Business.
Notable Credits Include:
After working as the assistant to Bill Marshall, founder of TIFF, she worked on the first season of the hit CTV/CBS series Flashpoint assisting the Executive Producers and Showrunners. She then landed herself a nearly 4-year in-house position at the award-winning production company Whizbang Films where she provided business, administrative and creative support to Emmy award-winning Executive Producer Frank Siracusa and his then partner Paul Gross. Select production credits range from various feature films Cottage Country (Alliance Films) & Breakaway (Alliance Films, CBC) to TV Series The Yard (HBO Canada, TMN) & Crash & Burn (Showcase/Shaw) to various MOWs Horses of McBride (CTV, eOne) & three Good Witch’s (The Hallmark Channel & Movie Central), as well as two pilots for CBS-Paramount. As a freelancer, Jessica was the Production Manager on a $1.25 million feature film called Backcountry, and she also worked on the documentary Revolution, the as the Release Coordinator. She was also the Line Producer of Rise Again: The Making of Revolution - the behind-the-scenes documentary for Global and National Geographic, and the Production Manager on the interactive mobile website. She also Line Produced a feature film for Shaftsbury Films called Dirty Singles and Production Managed a transmedia murder-mystery series.
