Spiral Theatre develops participatory theatre projects in site
specific contexts across Europe.

Spiral works with local communities, often over extended periods
of time, to build large scale performances about the places in which they live. Spiral works in various countries yet always applies the same principles to the work; we help people tell stories through performance about their places while aiming for the highest possible production values. The Company is based in rural La Rioja, Spain.

Spiral is interdisciplinary; we are a team of theatre specialists, archaeologists, teachers and astrophysicists. And our projects often reflect this. We work with local communities, theatre students and with those who have a passion for theatre. Projects and workshops can last from a few days to years. And for this reason every outcome and performance is unique.
