    About me

    I am Tiago, graduate in Media Communication from Humber College. I’ve been working at the Photography/Videography area as digital producer for a couple of years.

    With two years studying at college, and a countless extra course, I have learned a variety of photography skills. I love turning innovative story concepts into reality.

    During my program I created and edited content (video, photography, poster, banner, infographics, brochures, etc.) using software applications such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and After Effects. I also did research, write and design communications such as press releases, brochures and profiles.

    About my experience it can be divided into two stages: before college and after college.

    I used to have two jobs at the college while attending class and during my coop time I did an internship with a production design/art director.

    As a Booking Centre Associate for the School of Media Studies at Humber, I used to handle the photography/videography equipment (cameras, audio, lights), while interacting face-to-face with students and faculty. Humber College has a partnership with Nikon, and I use to work with a variety of equipment from your company. As an International Marketing Intern for the International Centre my responsibilities included working with marketing, social media, photography, videography, design (ideate pieces) and promotional projects using Humber brand design guideline in order to increase exposure and engagement with prospective and current students. I managed and edited Humber “Brasil” Facebook page () and Instagram account (@humberbrasil). I also used to receive partners and students for tours and orientations to promote Humber.

    During my coop I worked for John Carter (www.johncarterdesign.com) updating his webpage with content, manipulating images using Adobe programs, creating video reel and scenarios for TV pilot programs (Illustrator).

    During my last job I was working as Photo Production Assistant (for International Marketing Department) producing the international summer photoshoot. I did part of all process: design material, event promotion, student selection, style guide design, customer service (with 80 students), review, edition and upload of photography images. I worked in collaboration with internal and external (photography agency) departments. I also work as videographer promoting the International Centre/Humber.

    My second job in Canada I worked as a Marketing Manager for the English School of Canada contacting agencies, selling our products and building relationships with old and new partners in Toronto and overseas.

    Back in Brazil I managed for four years a franchise office (IE Intercâmbio no Exterior) for International Education responding promptly and professionally to student, agent and host requests and challenges, resolving any issues in a courteous, respectful, helpful and efficient manner to ensure student, agent and host satisfaction. In this role I used to coordinate all office supply and IT demands, keep a clean and safe work environment, maintain office culture initiatives, HR assistant tasks, develop, update and sustain company inventory and administrative system for efficiency while ensuring security and confidentiality, financial planning, record keeping and billing, personnel, physical necessities and local marketing. I also participated in community affairs to increase trustworthiness.
