Commonly requested monologues

Hello!

I am making a list of different monologues to keep in my repertoire to try to be prepared for different audition situations and thought I'd ask for any thoughts you might have.

So far I've come up with:
Shakespeare
Children's theatre
Comedy
Contemporary
Drama

Any other suggestions of the type of monologue an actor should have in their arsenal?

Hi Sally

I think it's great to be prepared!
I'd suggest having two Shakespeare pieces or a Shakespeare and a Jacobean - one comedy and one serious...

It also doesnt hurt to have a sonnet ready, not just a Shakespeare, something from Spenser's The Amoretti as well perhaps.
