Ramparts is a Humber 3rd year Independent Production.Logline:A young man trying to reconnect to his estranged mother and their cultural roots learns that you can’t look to others to tell you who you are, it must come from within yourself.Synopsis: David, a young man living with his single father Lew, struggles to write a school paper about self-identity. David’s mother, Debbie is visiting for Christmas. David asks Debbie about their Cree background, but it is revealed that she actually knows very little about it. On Christmas morning, David got an elaborate dream catcher as a Christmas gift from Debbie. At dinner, David hints about wanting Debbie to stay with them, but Debbie ultimately rejects this notion, which upsets David. A few days later, As Debbie is about to leave, she tells David that nobody can tell him who he is, and that he has to find that out from inside himself. David contemplates over the advice that Debbie gave him while studying his dream catcher. He hangs it over his bed, and begins writing in his notebook. Attachments:
