StorylineAVA is a 15-year-old high school student living with undiagnosed ADHD. When her position on the swim team is taken away by MR. HENDERSON for her inattentiveness in school, Ava must find a way to work with her neurodivergence to get back in the water. Bouncing between periods of hyper-focus and spacing out, Ava wrestles with feelings of anxiety and depression. With the help of her supportive Dad, Ava finds the strength to push through and get the help she needs.CommentsThrough this film, our goal is to visually explore the experience of living with ADHD. We hope to break down the stigma associated with the condition and to remind people who relate that they’re not broken, or lazy, they’re just different.We can accept union and non-union actors through our student agreement with ACTRA. This is a non-paying student film and no permit is required. Actors will receive a copy of the finished film for their demo reel. Actors on set are required to be double vaccinated as well tested 72 hours prior to shoot. One day shoot October 28th, 2021 with additional shoot days January 15th-17th, 2022.
