Seeking crew for "Popsicle," a short film.

Patty is bored. Patty is broke. Patty used to like popsicles on hot summer days, but after engaging in a bizarre summer-long transactional relationship with a lonely old man, she can’t stand them anymore! Popsicle is a short film narrated by Patty as she reflects on how she came to suck on popsicles at fifty bucks “a pop” for a strange guy named Doug.

The film breaks the fourth wall as she tells us all about Doug: how they met, the popsicles in the park, and how she feels kind of rejected when Doug stops showing up. A few years go by and then one day, Patty spots Doug with another young woman sucking on a popsicle. This creates a strange stir of emotions in Patty; mostly disgust and a weird sense of rejection that is now forever associated with popsicles.

Popsicle is a short vignette about boredom, quasi-sexual compulsive behaviour, sense memory, the weirdness of humans and a celebration of vibrant colours in the summer sun.
