  • Project Details
Looking for actors, aged 18-30, to deliver audio monologues for an outreach project.

In 2013, the Royal Air Force Museum curated with Black Cultural Archive, an exhibition called The Pilots of the Caribbean that would tell the stories of African and Caribbean personnel. The exhibition shone a light on the brave men and women who fought for the mother country and against racial discrimination.

In September 2018 this story will be taken to secondary schools in the form of an outreach drama and interactive workshop.

We are looking for actors & voice actors who can bring these characters to life in audio monologues that will be featured in the show. Actors who can perform in convincing accents, written in the brackets, from the characters' countries of origin i.e (Jamaica), (Nigeria) etc. Actors 1 - 3 will have to perform two characters each.

Actors will be paid for rehearsal on Thursday 12th of April (£70) & recording session on 16th of April (£100) will be directed by lead artist. Actors will be sent audition sample monologues alongside background on each character.

If you'd like to audition please email us and state which actor role (1-4) you'd like to audition for. Applicants must send their audio files (preferably mp3) to us before 9pm on 23rd of March.

I will get back to all who have applied as to whether they were successful or unsuccessful.
