Totem Pole Playhouse, an AEA COST summer theater located between Chambersburg and Gettysburg PA, is seeking a Technical Director for its 5-show summer season. Entering its 68th season, Totem Pole Playhouse has prided itself in providing high quality theatrical entertainment in South Central Pennsylvania with its professional acting companies and excellent production values.

The Technical Director is responsible for the construction, load-in, and strike of scenery for a fast-paced 5-show season. The candidate will manage the shop crew and supervise daily activities, as well as budgeting each production, drafting, and building of scenery. Proficient knowledge and experience in scenic construction, rigging, and shop safety is required. This position requires strong organizational, technical, leadership, and communication skills. The candidate will also need to be capable of working on tall ladders, capable of lifting at least 50 lbs., working long hours, and have a valid driver’s license.
