About me
The technical aspects of theatre have always held the greatest interest for me and I have pursued that passion throughout my education and career positions. In 2001 I graduated from the University of Alberta's prestigious BFA program in Technical Theatre with a degree in Stage Management, which I received with Distinction. Since graduating I have held a variety of positions that range from stage management, teaching stage management at a college, designing and operating lights, operating sound and automation, as well as working in a variety of positions. Most recently I have gained great experience as a Production Manager and Senior Production Manager with Princess Cruise Lines.I have continually tried to stretch my capabilities to learn and improve my skills. I am a highly motivated, energetic, organized and team oriented person. I value and demonstrate the importance of strong communication within the theatre environment and the need to involve the entire team in managing a production.
I have been fortunate to work on large modern cruise ships over the past 7 years. This experience has provided me with the opportunity to become very familiar with the benefits and challenges of working in a multi-cultural environment. The cruise ship venues have also exposed me to a lot of the latest in technical theatre equipment.
I am very passionate about my work in theatre production and also embrace the chance to work with people from around the world.
