About me
Hanne Loosen | Set- and Costume DesignHanne Loosen was born in Belgium 1984. Study: costume design at the Academy for Visual Arts Maastricht in the Netherlands, set design and scenography with a Master of Arts degree at the Technical University in Berlin. In 2010 she received a scholarship for a semester abroad at the University of Calgary in Canada.
As a design assistant of Nigel Lowery, she worked at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music, at the Flemish Opera in Antwerp, and at the Dutch Opera in Amsterdam
She designed costumes for “THREE SISTERS” by Anton Chekhov at Stage Entertainment in Amsterdam (2007), “ATTILA” by Verdi at the Mariinsky Theatre, St Petersburg together with Frank P. Schlößmann, under the musical direction of Valery Gergiev (2010) and furthermore for dance and opera performances in Berlin, Ingolstadt, Leuven (B) and Maastricht (NL).
Set- and Costume design realizations include the short oper “THE TEARS OF THE KNIFE” by Bohuslav Martinů (2010), the children's opera “CINDERELLA” by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari at the Werkstattbühne at the State Opera Berlin (2011), “BA-TA-CLAN” and “MESDAMES DE LA HALLE” by Jaques Offenbach at the Academy of Music “Hanns Eisler” Berlin (2012), THE LIME WORKS together with Albert Lang; a music theatre project by parallelaktion and Helmut Oehring (2013) and a music production with children after “CHILDREN’S CORNER” by Claude Debussy.
Three set designs where created for an international composition competition at the Deutsche Oper Berlin; “NEW SCENES” (2013)
