About me
Katrin Whitehead is a recent graduate of the scenography program at the National Theatre School of Canada with particular interest in design for devised work. A passion for the visual elements of storytelling also informs Katrin's bookworks, which have been exhibited as part of the Bookmobile/Mobilivre North American tour and Expozine bookarts fair in Montreal.Design experience includes set design for Howard Barker's (Uncle) Vanya (National Theatre School, Ludger Duvernay Theatre), directed by Tanja Jacobs and The Importance of Being Earnest (NTS, Studio Hydro-Quebec), directed by Brendan Healy; costume design for dance: Lulu (Montreal Fringe; Best of the Fringe in the category of dance) and Hideous Progeny (Studio 303); costume design for theatre: Le chant de Georges Boivin (NTS) and (Uncle) Vanya (NTS); costume design for opera: Nelligan (Atelier lyrique de l'opera de Montreal); costume design for film: Le facteur poulpe (L'institut national de l'image et du son); mask design: Le village de bonne esperence (16theâtre, Afriques en mouvements).
