About me
Well… like everyone on the open market, “I am extremely detail oriented with strong organizational skills, a multi-tasker with creative flair and… blah, blah, blah.”But, what really separates me from the norm?
My unique range of skills that include leadership, thriving in high stress situations, problem solving, excellent communication skills, organization of crews while encouraging teamwork, as well as a happy-to-work attitude.
In addition, I am able to work under pressure and stress, multi-task and deal with many problems at once while at the same time maintaining an upbeat energy throughout the various departments, team and crew alike. I am proficient in both Microsoft Word and Excel, only use MAC’s and Apple products and am a positive team player and leader.
I have worked on numerous professional and academic productions as Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager and Apprentice Stage Manager, while expanding my knowledge base in other roles outside of Stage Management to obtain as much experience as possible in all facets of a production. I’m able to keep a calm sense about me and strive to ensure that everyone is working efficiently, yet enjoying the task at hand. I am a firm believer that while working towards a common goal, everyone contributing can enjoy and love what they do.
Additional information:
After recently returning from New York City, I am now thrilled to add to my resume Stage Management Intern with the Broadway Company of Wicked. Being an intern on such a large, long running production with Broadway professionals was very rewarding, as well as an amazing learning experience. Not only was I able to learn from a wonderful Stage Management team working on a long-term production, I was able to shadow each department. The opportunity provided me with a much more in-depth knowledge about working on a large-scale musical, allowed me to learn new Stage Management techniques, while expanding my knowledge in the field and location I have a passion for.
I believe that passion is the key to succeed. You must love what you do and do what you love in order to get the job done well.
