The Dumping Grounds is a British TV series broadcast on CBBC (a children's brand run by the BBC) follows the lives of the children in care at the fictional children's care home of Elmtree House.
The show has gone from strength to strength, with 8 seasons it is one of the longest running TV series on CBBC. It offers child actors a chance to perform on screen and sports a cast of largely younger actors. Seasons now consist of ~24 episodes and the show reached the impressive 100 episode mark during its 6th season on air.
The show is a spin off/sequel of the extremely popular & BAFTA winning BBC shows The Story of Tracy Beaker & Tracy Breaker Returns.
