About me
I'm Lara Joy, 12 years old I have been dancing, singing and acting for the past 4 years. I am currently studying Acting and Musical Theatre, and dancing my socks off as part of dance troupe 'Remedy'.I have just completed 4 nights in the touring production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' at Milton Keynes theatre, and in April 2015 featured in the children's choir in 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' at Alyesbury Waterside theatre.
Having studied at my local Stagecoach school for the last 4 years I have just moved to concentrate on my acting and performing skills with 'Arts 1 School of Performance'.
I love to dance, choreographing my own routines, I am able to pick up new routines very quickly.
I would love to build upon my experience within all three aspects and I am looking forward to a bright career within the entertainment industry.

I take part in end of term productions as part of my 'Stage Coach' school, where we perform to an audience of parents and show what we have learnt during our dancing, singing and acting lessons.
I have sung at my local Christmas light switch on as part of a choir and a soloist, and really love drawing a crowd. I really enjoyed singing as part of Aylesbury's 'Search for a Star' competition, and had some very positive feedback and have already been invited back to take part in next years competition. -
Hip Hop, Street dance as a member of girl group 'Remedy', trained at the Rebecca Maire Academy of Dance.
'Friend Or Foe The Musical' at Bedford Theatre playing the role of 'Daisy' a young evacuee.
'The Wiz' at Milton Keynes Theatre, lot's of dancing for this one, August 2014. -
I am just starting out in modeling, but believe my confidence, energy and smile will be a great advantage.
'Friend or Foe The Musical' programme, and publicity shots.
Music video: S.I.B 'Letter to the PM' requiring mainly still shots which showed emotion and sadness. -
My latest venture (July 2015) saw me perform as both a village child and angel in the touring production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' at Milton Keynes theatre. As a member of a 12 strong children's ensemble we had to act, dance and sing in front of large audiences in 4 shows. It was an amazing experience and has made me even more determined to fore fill a career in musical theatre.
Gracing the stage as a member of the children's choir in the touring production of 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat', at Aylesbury's Waterside Theatre in March 2015 I enjoyed 5 Spectacular shows. The experience of performing with established performers in front of large audiences was incredible, with production rehearsals helping me to strengthen my vocals, And build confidence in my singing ability.
I adore being on stage and in August 2014 I had the pleasure of staring in 'The Wiz' at Milton Keynes Theatre. Playing a Munchkin for three high energy performances.
My first short film role, 'Salvation' I played the character 'Maya' and shot over 2 very wet nights in The Forest Of Den. Great fun and excellent experience.
I have completed a 6 show run of an exciting new musical. Training was intense and I learnt lots of new skills, featuring as one of the focal characters 'Daisy' within the show.
I have been acting as a member of my local Stagecoach school for the past 4 years, changing just recently (April 2015) to 'Arts 1 School of Performance' to concentrate on Acting and Musical Theatre.
I love to perform, and enjoy the challenge of being someone else, looking at how the character speaks, behaves and feels. -
Promotional material including show programme, and shots projected in theatre production for 'Friend Or Foe The Musical.'

I have performed as part of my school choir and as a soloist at different concerts and events organised by my school, which I love. I get a real buzz from performing and I love to see people smile when I sing. I have also been singing in end of term productions with my stagecoach school for the past 4 years, where I also learn singing techniques and different arrangements to songs.
Most recently I took part in the 'Young Pop Star Competition' in Aylesbury, being the youngest contestant performing, I had a wonderful time singing for a panel of judges and an open air audience.
