Course: Foundation in acting and First year of professional acting diploma., 2018
City Lit is a great learning institution, with a variety of teaching styles, at an affordable price. I have not finished the diploma, yet. I have completed the first year, and may return to it next year (Sept 2016) if needed. At the moment, I wish to experience applying for jobs and other courses elsewhere, to broaden my training and experience, around my financial and family's needs.

Course: 2 yr. Acting, 2013
"David has an independent way of approaching characterisation, he approaches the craft in a very individual way and carries an air of charisma about him. There's a lot going on when he plays the character, on a very deep level. His process appears to be somewhat different...these are all very powerful qualities." Bryan Carter (actor/director)

Course: Advanced Diploma in Performance Skills, 2009
I have no regrets about paying out for this course. The staff of the The Drama Department at the Lit are all professionals with a wealth of experience in the industry and the outside lecturers they bring in have similar experience and enthusiasm. You have to audition for a place on the course (which is Equity recognised)and you are expected to work extremely hard throughout. Unlike many of the mainstream Drama Colleges the Lit, being an Adult Education Institute has a broad spread of ages amongst its student body and, because it is not just a Drama College, has a huge variety of students studying other subjects who can be drawn upon to assist. Art and Design, Sound Technology, Music, Dance, Photography and Stage Management are just some of the subjects whose students helped us during our course. The course runs for a year and, whilst on paper it is only three days a week, in reality it is a full time course. Studying, line learning and much rehearsal takes place outside of course times which are prety much total lecturer/student contact all the time. I got representation as a result of the end of course showcase and have been in work (albeit mainly low paid) prety much ever since. There are also a number of shorter courses leading up to the Diploma Course should you wish to build up your experience before plunging in.

Course: Advanced Performance Diploma, 2006
Going on the 2006 Advanced Performance Diploma at the city lit was the best decision i made to further my career as a working actor. The teachers are of the highest calibre, (up there with Rada & Central) and i firmly believe that the course gave me all the tools i needed, to get me where i am today. Working in feature films. I am currently working on a major Hollywood production of the smash hit playstation game "HALO". Thank you City Lit.
