About me
Recent graduate with a 2.1 degree in English Literature from Queen Mary University of London, seeking a graduate position in the television production industry or entry-level role as a production runner.I have gained many of the transferrable skills that are needed to be a production runner through my time at university and also with my two years' experience in administrative and customer service positions.
My strengths include excellent time management, organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure by completing my undergraduate coursework and dissertation deadlines to a high standard. In addition, in my administrative and customer service roles, I have demonstrated excellent communication skills, I work well with colleagues at all levels, I have continuously shown initiative and I am accurate in handling money and receipts.
I have previously handled relevant tasks that are key to the position of a runner including: answering phones and emails, picking up items when needed, helping with research when required, coordinating travel arrangements and catering, scheduling meetings and managing mail .
I have a passion for television, in particular news, current affairs and documentaries and I am interested in gaining a more in-depth knowledge of the process of Television production. The position of runner would facilitate my goal of becoming a television production researcher, where I could harness my writing skills and help develop programme ideas. I enjoy meeting new people, learning new skills and have a prominent creative side due to my love of literature, art and music.
