About me
Charles Pass - Freelance Producerremoved
Production Experience (References Available on Request)
Freelance Producer August 2012-present - currently producing short corporate films and advertisements for businesses looking to expand their online profile. I communicate with clients, market my business, operate the camera and edit the films, allowing me to acquire a broad skill set. Many of my clients have been repeat users. This has given me the confidence to work independently and manage my own business.
Producer and Production Assistant for Creative Media (Unpaid Experience) June - July 2012 -
Spent 5 weeks on a work placement with Creative Media in Birmingham producing my own short drama promoting three charities on campus. Also spent time as a production assistant for a project on campus security. This taught me the skills involved and the process required in film production, including editing, camera operation, legal requirements and scheduling.
Production Runner, Assistant and Background Artist for the BBC April 2012 (Unpaid Experience) - Spent 2 weeks working as a Production Runner in Dublin on the set for "Loving Miss Hatto". Worked under pressure and professional circumstances. This helped me to gain the initiative and planning required when working as a runner and the confidence required when working in front of and behind the camera.
Guild Drama Society Producer - Producer of both Hamlet (Winter 2011) and When the Rain Stops Falling (Summer 2011) with Article 19.
Education
University of Birmingham August 2010-June 2013 - Currently Studying Drama and Theatre Arts. Achieved a 2-1 in second year, currently in final year of study. Subjects studied include Creative Industries, Lighting, Playwriting and Directing.
Repton School removed - Achieved A* in Business Studies and a B in both Drama and English at A level.
Other Work
Office and On Site Construction Work in Family Business removed - Holiday work as both builder and office worker in the family business - Granwood Ltd. Acquired both practical skills of working onsite and the interpersonal skills of office work and phone operation.
Edinburgh Fringe Performances 2009 & 2010 - Performed lead roles in two productions at the Edinburgh fringe festival with the Rep Theatre Company. Both performances received 3 stars from "Three Weeks". Due to the small cast I also served as crew handling lighting, set and props.
Skills
