About me
Thank you for taking the time to review my resume and considering me for a crew position on your latest project. Allow me to give a little background on my skill sets that should convince you that I’m a perfect candidate for your project.Script supervision
Immediately after receiving personal training and certification from Script Supervisor Randi Feldman, I was hired to work for 4 weeks on a feature film produced by Keith Kjarval (David Lynch's Inland Empire). Talk about on the job training! It was a wonderful experience and I met a lot a great people.
That same year I became AFI's "go to" Scripte for some of their student's thesis projects. This was quite a change after working on a feature film, but by doing these "smaller projects", I was able to master the work flow without having access to some minor conveniences expected on bigger projects (such as a Monitor, headphones, etc). Since most of these "beginning" projects exchanged payment for credit, my only deterrent take on more of these type of projects was the requirement of prove of income in order to be concerned for union.
When I'm not working as a script supervisor (or when the work for it slows down) I return to another of my passions,
Production Audio
As a business owner of a success DJ/KJ entertainment company with with 6 employees and 5 nightly venues per week, I deal with Audio recording, mixing, equipment and placement daily.
I’ve done everything from live concerts and interviews to film and television productions at all budget levels and own my own gear:
A 8-channel HS-P82 HD field mixer/recorder with 2 256gig flash cards (so there's always a backup made)
3 sennheiser EW112 G3s w/Countryman EMW lavs
Sennheiser mkh416 shotgun mic
Rycote windshield kit
Aduix adx20s (for any Vehicle recordings)
4 Comtek PR-75s (with base station) transmitters for director, producer, script supervisor, etc. so you'll never miss any dialogue.
A.D
I realize that the normal procedure is to start as a PA, move to a being 2nd, 2nd assistant, before become a 1st, however on 2 productions, where it became necessary, I stepped in as as the AD. I was already fluent in the arts of scheduling, coordinating, set etiquette and safety so I was asked to “fill in” until another could be found (on both of these jobs I was also the script Supervisor but handled the extra work load just fine) It was my job to also get my replacement caught up to what was remained of the our shoot days.
I enjoyed it and the work reminded me of my pervious Full time employment.
After serving as an instructor for non-linear editing (and before that, analog 3/4 inch) for the colleges that I work for I was employed as the Production Coordinator and On-Line editor (Avid and Premiere-we gave up on final cut long ago) for 3 public television stations (two operated by a College University) where My over 20 years of experience working on dramatic productions, live (and live to tape) sports, concerts, and other public or government events have always giving me a bit of an advantage on set and has proven invaluable to the directors and producers on each project that I have worked on.
