About me
An experienced writer and editor, I am in the process of making a career change from print journalism to film and television having worked for six years as a commissioning editor at a national newspaper. I’ve gained many transferable skills in this time; pitching and executing story ideas on a daily basis, editing copy in a fast-paced environment, organising all practical logistics of features and celebrity interviews and staying calm under pressure.Hardworking, organised and highly motivated to expand my skill set, from the end of September 2018 I will begin a part-time practical film-making course with the Met Film School.
I will also be undertaking a short internship with production company Raw TV, and have just completed time spent shadowing the director on set of new BBC3/BBC Wales pilot, In My Skin, to air in October.
