About me
Using the skills and knowledge gained form my university degree and experience working with award winning costume designers and creative teams I have built up a varied portfolio of work in the costume department within the film & television industry.I've worked on a variety of productions ranging from historical television dramas, short films to large-scale contemporary feature films. I have experience working as a costume designer, costume buyer, maker and a principal on set stand-by.
By working in principal and crowd costume teams i've learnt the process and requirements of both parts of the costume department and understand how they function within different types of productions. I have a solid understanding of garment construction and alterations in mens & womenswear with experience in various costume breakdown methods .
My experience sourcing costumes at hire houses in London, Bristol and the RSC in Stratford-Upon-Avon has expanded my knowledge of historical and contemporary costumes and given me invaluable incite into use of hired costumes.
I have been lucky enough to work with some of the most prolific and talented designers and supervisors in the industry which has helped me build upon my working methods and creative sources as a designer.
