About me
Studying at Cambridge University I was fortunate enough to get involved with directing for student theatrical productions. gaining experience in a wide variety of projects and engaging with some of the most talented performers from across the university. Since graduating, I have begun pursuing assistant director and observer positions with various bodies, including the British Youth Opera, the National Youth Music Theatre and the Royal Academy of Music. I am very keen to continue working with different directors as an assistant to expand and broaden my understanding of theatre and how to approach it.As a director, I'm particularly fascinated with working with music in dramatic contexts of all kind - from musical theatre, to opera, to songs and instrumental music, and especially the musicality and rhythm of verse drama. I have also recently had the opportunity to work with languages other than my own (Italian with a production of 'Gianni Schicchi' and Ancient Greek) and would be very interested in continuing to work with and explore the dramatic potential of language and communication, including verbal, physical and written (surtitles).
