About me
I have over 33 years experience in video production, across all areas of workflow, both leading and as a member of the team. I also have 15 years experience in designing and implementing curriculum design from Level 2 (GCSE) to Level 7 (Masters) in Creative Media Production. For the last four years I have been producing short corporate videos and videos for on-line courses, gaining nearly 15,000 students on Udemy.com, who have signed up for my media courses.
More recent projects have required multi-camera work for concerts, music videos and for interviews. During downtimes I am working on a feature documentary with Irish singer/songwriter, Tommy Sands and am in development for my third feature length drama, 'The Fiddler's Wife'.
Most projects require me to prepare budgets, source crews and equipments, schedule shoots and then edit, working with clients to help them realise their vision. When necessary I will also storyboard and produce animatics for pre-visualisations before starting the shoot.
My goals are to help companies discover their story to help promote their business. To manage a team that can achieve the most effective stories via video production. Using psychology to explore new ways of learning.

Additional information:
All my life I have enjoyed playing music, having learnt to play the recorder, euphonium, trumpet, saxophone, piano, guitar and more recently the fiddle, play Irish Traditional music.
As I often have to work on projects as a self-shooter, I have been working on the cinematography and the audio, so that I can have quality sound in post-production. I also record a lot of voice over using a range of techniques to reduce background audio.
Still photography is another passion and I am constantly shooting stills to compliment my moving-image work. Originally, I studied art at college which drew me into animation. Today, I mostly use Blender for modelling and animating in 3D. For 2D work I am using traditional techniques in Adobe Animate, Photoshop and Illustrate, after hand-drawing images on paper.
