About me
I developed the desire to study directing throughout my experience as a high-school student. As time went by, I became more and more aware that I wanted to expand my knowledge on everything I was assimilating. These interests ranged from basic studies on colour and light to studies on shadows and spatial dimensions, from art history and drawing to experimentations with different artistic currents connected not only to painting, or materials, or sound, but also to the concepts behind them. As regards the experimentations with sound, for example, at my previous school the class produced experimental performances centred on specific themes, as the Holocaust Memorial Day, the opening of the yearly art exhibition and the exposure of our projects at the Gugghenheim Gallery, organised by the school. This, for me, is cinema; more specifically, this is directing: to have many passions and interests, to love and be curious about everything around you. Also, it means being meticulous and attentive about every aspect that lies behind a project and combine everything within a harmonious and cohesive whole, as an orchestra director directs and accompanies every single musician, so that no one should go out of tune, but making the final product enchantingly harmonious. I have always been reading a lot about cinema, from its early beginnings until contemporary productions. In the last years, I attended many famous film festivals, such as the "Venice Film Festival" and "The London Short Film Festival". My desire is to turn this passion into a career by learning all the cinematographic techniques, from the basic ones as how to hold a camera to the more advanced ones, as how to direct actors and manage a production crew. I aim to understand the tension between concept and final product, from content to the form art to film.Additional information:
I have completed different courses about filmaking (One of them at the Raindance Film Festival) and i attended many famous film festivals. I also have the driving licence.
