About me
Agent: Audere Talent ManagementFor me it's all about interpreting and creating characters; from the seemingly straightforward to the outer reaches of surreal.
Give me dry (or daft) comedy, and I'm there - but I also love to immerse myself in the darker corners of the human psyche. I write, and play piano a bit - and violin. I used to ride the unicycle and I suppose I still could if I was a bit fitter. Must get back to that...
Here are some reviews of recent work:
Casting Kill: "Ian Renshaw shines as Xander, Capstone’s soft-spoken but menacing criminal acquaintance."
(Michael Cavender, Cine Dump)
The Travesty of Richard III: "Ian, who also wrote the show, is an Olivier look-alike Richard , as well as old Queen Margaret and Richard’s mother Cicely. It’s outrageous fun and I loved it."
(Brian Butler, G Scene)
Sinders Adult Panto: "Fringe favourite Ian Renshaw (Dame) [is] clearly having a ball playing for all the best laughs."
(Amy Yorston, British Theatre Guide)
