About me
I am a costume cutter and maker of period and modern clothes, mostly for women but some 'soft' men's garments.I worked in theatres around the country on permanent contracts for nine years and then went freelance in 1992. Since then I have short term contracts as a cutter and maker but mostly working from my own studio on productions for film, TV, theatre opera and dance.
Career Highlights:
Long term contracts with industry led costumiers Cosprop , with work appearing in Oscar won film (for costume) The Golden Era, designed by Alexandra Byrne.
Awarded commission to create costumes for leading ladies on series 2 of Downton Abbey, designed by Emmy award winning designer Susannah Buxton. Further commissions with same designer include Galavant, (ABC TV, USA) and Poldark.
Commissioned to make costumes Kenneth Branagh’s “Macbeth”. Designer. Chris Oram. Manchester International Festival and The Armoury, New York, USA.
Commissioned to make costumes for Winter’s Tale at Kenneth Branagh’s Co at the Garrick Theatre, London. Designer; Chris Oram.
Commissioned to make costumes for Gemma Arterton in Nell Gwynne, at Shakespeare’s Globe and Duke of York’s Theatre, London. Designed by Hugh Durrant.
Commissioned to make the costumes for Sheridan Smith for Funny Girl, at the Menier Chocolate Factory and the Savoy Theatre, London.

The Shakespeare’s Globe is home to the production of Shakespearean, Elizabethan, Jacobean and modern new plays which are put on in their main house and Sam Wanamaker Theatre on Bankside in London. They also tour nationally and internationally.
