About me
Film and costuming has always been a huge part of my life. My dad showed me behind the scenes footage of how movies are made, and I was raised on such classics as The Great Race, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Princess Bride, and others. The magic of the movies captivated me when I was young, and I knew as soon as I entered high school that I wanted to work in that industry one day.I crafted my educational career to reach that goal, graduating from El Dorado High School's Digital Media Arts Academy in Placentia, earning an AA in Film and Television from Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, and finally finishing off my educational journey with a BFA in TV Writing and Production from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. I currently work for an event company that brings video booths to various special events.
Along the way I gained an extensive training and working knowledge of all the positions that came with film and television, but found myself gravitating toward costume design the most. I come from a very creative family, and once my mom taught me the basics in middle school, I went on to copy and create various costumes of characters from film, television, and animation, translating flat 2D animated characters into real life textures, or matching the exact type of fabric and technique used in fantasy and historical genres.
I began working as a costume designer on Dodge College student films, usually graduate level productions, and through another contact began work as a theater costumer as well underneath Cathy Rigby's company, McCoy Rigby Arts. I am looking to expand my resume and my contacts in both theater and film.
