About me
Kate Allgood’s work in film has been informed by her life experiences counseling pregnant teens as a licensed social worker, comforting orphans & street children in Romania, and raising three human beings, two of which are twins. Twins are hard. Seriously, she’s run five marathons, and the twins are harder. She has also developed, written, and produced films with her partner, Jed Cowley, over the past 15 years. Those years of blood, sweat, and tears have born several short films that have screened at festivals such as Sundance, SXSW, Slamdance, Friars Club Comedy Festival, and Palm Springs, among others. Also screenplays that have been recognized by institutions such as New York Stage & Film, IFP, the Nicholl Fellowship, San Francisco Film Society, and American Zoetrope.Skills
